ESCH-SUR-ALZETTE was the European Capital of Culture in 2022 under the motto "Remix Culture", and the town has retained a number of memorabilia from its cultural past that still make it a cultural capital today, with events such as the Nuit de la Culture, the Biennale des Arts, the Francofolies, and in a variety of places that can also be seen at "Belval", a former industrial site that is now a very fashionable university and residential district, easily reached by train (5-minute journey) or by strolling or cycling along the famous Véloduc.
For those who prefer more urban excursions, the old quarters and fortifications of the capital LUXEMBOURG-VILLE are part of UNESCO's World Heritage List and can easily be reached by train (the central station is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and the journey takes 25 minutes).
The French city of METZ and the German city of TRÊVES are about sixty kilometres away (Metz is one of the greenest cities in France and its cathedral is decorated with stained glass windows by Marc Chagall, Trier is the oldest German city and a place of birth of Karl Marx)
THE HOTEL
The 21 renovated rooms and suites meet the highest standards (cable TV, free WIFI, direct dial telephone, coffee machine, microwave oven, work desk). The 'Studio' and 'Apartment' rooms also have kitchens, and the flats have separate living rooms.
Breakfast is served as a buffet and offers a full range of products (fresh and dried fruit, cereals, eggs, a selection of pastries, various breads, cheeses, cold meats, poultry, yoghurts, as well as vegan and gluten-free products....).
The special layout of the rooms makes them ideal for short stays as well as medium and long-term rentals.
Enclosed parking spaces are available for guests arriving by car.
